| 2013 Delmarva Adventure Sports Adventure Race Series FINAL RESULTS: Delmarva Adventure Sports will be combining all three of our racing events into a USARA State Series. Points will be earned by all teams participating in any of our three events, and will be combined to determine a series champion. The series champion will be announced at the awards presentation of the DAS Series Championship on August 10. Information on this race series is as follows: Divisions: We will be offering prizes in two divisions: Coed and Open. All 2, 3, and 4 person coed teams will be ranked together to determine points in the Coed division, and all 2, 3, and 4 person single gender teams will be ranked together to determine points in the Open division. Solo racers are not eligible to earn points in the Delmarva Adventure Sports race series. Prizes: Trophies will be awarded to the top three teams in each division. Additionally, a cash sponsorship towards an adventure race entry fee of the team's choice will be awarded to the first place team in each division at the end of the series. The sponsorship must be used towards that team's entry fee for an adventure race of their choice PRIOR TO the end of August 2014, and cannot be transferred to another team. Cash sponsorship amounts will be as follows: First Place Team in Coed Division: $250 First Place Team in Open Division: $100 Team Member Rules: Points will be linked to the Team's Name and the registered Team Captain. Points may not be transferred to a different division or a different team. Teams may change team members between events as long as the Team Captain remains the same, and ALL team members that have competed under that Team Name up to that point agree to the change. Teams may change their Team Name between events, as long as the Team Captain remains the same, and ALL team members that have competed under that Team Name up to that point agree to the change. If a team wishes to change a Team Captain between events, ALL team members that have competed under that Team Name up to that point MUST agree to the change. All points earned up to that point will then be attached to that new Team Captain and the pre-existing Team Name. Points Schedule: In the event there is a tie in points at the end of the series, the tie will be broken by finish order in the DAS Series Championship. If neither team competed in the DAS Series Championship, tie will be broken by finish order in the SCAR. |
